At Sinor, we keep a large inventory or rebuilt bedplates, cylinder blocks and crankshafts for all models of Superior engines and compressors. These components can be sold individually or used to build exchange engines.
Welding Department
Our welding department specializes in repairing and rejacketing exhaust manifolds. All manifolds are rebuilt on a fixed jig ensuring proper fit. Also during the repair process, there are multiple stop points at which the manifold is pressure tested ensuring quality welds and water tightness. Upon completion of all repairs, the manifold is then stress relieved, surface ground, cleaned, painted and prepped for shipment.
Cleaning/Painting Department
Every part that is repaired is run through the cleaning department. Parts are either sand blasted, shot blasted or buffed depending on the part. Clean parts are inspected for cracks and then painted.
CNC Department
Our CNC Department capabilities allow us to perform most re-manufacturing processes in-house including manifold surfacing, cylinder head surfacing and any part re-manufacturing.
Camshaft Department
All Superior camshafts are rebuilt in-house. The Camshafts are inspected and the lobes are removed. The shaft is then checked for straightness, polished and new lobes are heated to the proper temperature and installed on the shaft. The shaft is then placed in a protective box for shipment.
Connecting Rod Department
Connecting rods are disassembled, cleaned and checked for straightness. The large end of the rods are machined to OEM specs on our Rottler hone and the bushings are replaced and bore to tolerance.
Cylinder Head Department
Sinor Engine originally started out repairing cylinder heads making this the oldest department in the company. Several of our technicians in this department are the second generation continuing the tradition. The heads are disassembled, inspected and pressure tested for cracks. Each cylinder head firing deck is checked for pits and signs of blow by and if needed, surface ground to OEM standards in our machine shop. The heads are then rebuilt to manufacturer’s specifications. Even though this is the oldest department in our company, it is also one of our most modern. With the addition of the Rottler seat cutting machine in 2014, we can now produce heads with even greater quality and guaranteed performance. Also, we keep a vast inventory of rebuilt cylinder heads to cover every model of Superior engine. These heads are always in stock and can ship same-day.
Accessory Department
All of the engine and compressor accessories are rebuilt in this department including water pumps, oil pumps, idlers, rocker arms, carburetors, fuel pumps and fuel injectors. We keep a large inventory of used parts such as housings, casings, etc. to reduce the cost of repair or replacement to the customer’s equipment and cores.
Turbo Charger Department
Turbocharger work is a large portion of our business so a large part of our facility is devoted to their repair. Units are disassembled and sent to the cleaning department. During disassembly photographs are taken of the entire process and of each individual part. The clearances are also measured and recorded. The rotor assembly is balanced in-house on our balancing computer system. The turbo is then reassembled and all critical clearances and tolerances are recorded. After the unit is shipped, the photographs and clearances are incorporated into a report detailing the findings of the overhaul. The report is then available upon request. Along with our overhaul abilities, we keep a large inventory of rebuilt turbochargers, new parts and rebuilt parts that can all be shipped same-day. In order to keep the costs down for our customers, we can offer rebuilt or good used parts in place of damaged items. We can also offer in-house repairs of damaged items to avoid having to replace with new.
Engine & Compressor Assembly Department
Complete engines, compressor, and packages are assembled in the assembly area. This main bay is large enough to simultaneously assembly four units or packages and still have room for accessories and workspace. The area remains uncluttered and clean contributing to the overall quality of the work.
Shipping & Receiving Department
At Sinor, we keep one of the largest inventories of new, restored and recycled parts for Superior engines and compressors of anyone in the industry. We dislike long lead times on parts as much as you do. Our experience tells us which parts customers most commonly need so we can keep a large inventory of these items in stock. If we have the part on the shelf, we will ship it the same day you order it.
Engine Dyno Testing Department
We have three (3) water brake dynamometers that cover all range of Superior engines. Every shop overhaul we perform is run on the test stand at various loads enabling us to make all necessary adjustments before the engine leaves our shop. Measurements are made and recorded during the test run which are then added to the overhaul report sent to the customer.
